I have @live.com mail account from msn. I tried to set it up in entourage
but it seems that entourage doesn't accept it? How can I set up my @live.com
mail account in entourage? Thank you.

Sorry, this is a new one for me. Is it considered a Hotmail account? You can

You haven't given us any real details, so we are left guessing.

1. How did you add this account to Entourage?

I Couldn't add this account to Entourage that's the problem!
The email address is (e-mail address removed). I choose accounts add new mail
account Msn/Hotmail.. But I get the error -18598

If it won't let you add this as an Hotmail/MSN account, then try adding as a
POP account.

Can you provide a link where you sign up for this type of account and I'll

The first is a link to the live search page, the second is the old
'passport' login page - which can be called from any sort of web page (but
invariably only MS ones) for authentication.

I don't see anywhere where this typoe of acocunt can be used directly for
email, although a hotmail account is automatically a live login account as
well.

Since your email address in your messages here is a hotmail one, is that the
email address you want to create your account for? That should be pretty
straightforward in Entourage.

In my Hotmail account settings the Account ID: is only the name on the left
side of the address. In your case: Account ID: erayerdogan

The address line holds the full address.
And I did use the option to put my password in Mad OS keychain.

I don't believe that you can use Entourage (or other mail clients) to access
the free 'limited service' accounts. You need to use the paid-for upgraded
accounts.

Are you sure that you are using the same ID and Password that works when you
log in to your email via the internet? Also don't put anything in the
Security tab for the hotmail-like account in Entourage Account settings.

Yes I'm using the same ID and password. But I guess Entourage is not capable
of working with @live.com accounts altough its an MSN account!

You are probably "grandfathered" in. This wouldn't be an option for the new
live account.

You're probably right. I have always ignored their solicitations for paying
for more services.
I hate to lose it, but I would switch my main email use over to Comcast
since I have to pay them for broadband anyway.

Oh, I do have a gmail account from Google that is free and gmail *can* be
set up in Entourage as POP email, too.

This is ridiculous, an Msn account can't be added to the Microsoft's
Entourage! They are both owned by the same company but I can't add!
