Daniel

I created an infopath project in V1 with InfoPath SP1 and the VB.NET Add-In.
I have now updated to Office SP1 and downloaded the VB.NET Add-In again and
tried to load my solution file and get a message saying.

InfoPath has encountered an error. The operation falid....

And then I cannot get into my infopath Project,

Does anybody have any ideas.

Daniel,

Was there a button displayed or any other way to access additional
information about the error?

No there was just an ok button, No other information.

You press OK and then nothing loads into InfoPath....

Its causing me quite a lot of distress becuase there has been quite a lot of
work done on the project and I cant seem to be able to load any off it.

Thanks

Daniel

Daniel,

Have you tried navigating to the form template in Windows Explorer
then right clicking and selecting Design?

Or was that what you did to cause the error to be displayed?

Hello Andrew,

I can load the template file up fine but when I goto design the form it
displays a message saying A file in the folder is currently in use, Do I want
to open a Read-Only Copy, And when I click Yes it displays the message
InfoPath has encountered an error. The operation falid.

It just doesn't let me open in design mode....

Daniel,

I don't know if this will work or not but it's probably worth a try.

Make a copy of the file. An InfoPath .xsn file is, I believe, simply a
cabinet file (.cab) but with a different extension.

With a utility to open cabinet files you may be able to extract the
form files without using InfoPath.

That may give you files that you then can do something with.

You *might* be able to open the .xml file from InfoPath.

It might not work at all, but it may be worth a try.

Daniel,

If you go to the directory where you had your source files for the
project/solution. what files are there in that directory and
subdirectories?
