Local project with Enterprise projects

I'm testing Project Server 2002 for my company. I've successfully saved
enterprise project, resources, etc.

Now I want to create a strictly local project. Let's say it's for a
personal project like moving my home. I don't want it to show up on the
Project Server.

How can I do this? It seems to automatically save everything new to the
server.

There's a couple of ways to create a local project file:

1. When you log into Project Server through Microsoft Project 2002, and are
presented with the Microsoft Project Server Accounts dialog box, select the
"My Computer" account and click the Work Offline button. When you click
File - Save, the default file type will be an .MPP file, which will not be
saved in the Project Server database.

2. If you are already logged into Project Server through Microsoft Project
2002 with your regular user account, then click File - Save, and then click
the Save As File button in the Save As dialog box. This will give you the
option to save the project as an .MPP file in the folder of your choice, and
again, it will not be saved in the Project Server database.

Hope this helps.

Rhonda,
If you selece Save, it will save to the project server, however, if you
select Save as File, you can select the destination other than the project
server.
