Lock a column on project

I'm running Project Professional 2003 connecting to Project Server 2003. My
question is how do you lock a column within a project for people to see but
cannot edit it. The project owner would be the person who can only make all
the edits.

Is this a vb script process? If so, does anyone have one to share.

Thanks in advance.

You can't lock data in Project Professional unless you add a read only
password so people can only open the schedule read only. As you have Project
Server, why not just get people to look at your schedule via Project Web
Access? They can't edit data there.

The portfolio managersgroup want to be able to control some of the columns
while the project managers group makes the edits on tasks, finish, etc..

Can a VB script do this?
