'lock design template'

Can you lock a design template so it can not be changed, and have other
design templtes in the same slide show? Sometimes as I add slides to a show
it changes all the templates, and I have to go back and change indivual ones.

You can't "lock" a template, but it sounds like you are trying to use multiple
templates. When assigning a template to a slide, be careful with the choice you
make between "Apply to All Slides" and "Apply to Selected Slide". Don't just
click on the template you want. Hover over it and click on the arrow that
appears on the right slide of the thumbnail and you'll see what I mean.
