Locked file

I am using Microsoft Publisher 2000 on a peer-to-peer
network of 4 computers with Windows XP. When trying to open
a file from another computer, I have suddenly begun
receiving an error message saying that path/filename cannot
be opened because it is currently being used by another
program. It then tells me to quit the program and try
again. I have done that numerous times and rebooted both
computers and I still get the same error message. It only
happens with certain files. Any suggestions would be
helpful. Thanks!

If you move them to your harddrive, can you open them?

No, it gives me an "Access Denied" error message and
suggests that my hard drive may be full (it is not) or that
the file is write protected (it is not nor is the section
of the hard drive I tried to copy it to). Thanks.
