Locking or anchoring objects

When I add objects to a slide using copy/paste (typically graphics -
..gifs - or text boxes) all of the other objects are moved and my
placement is messed up. Is there any way to lock or anchor objects to
prevent this from happening? I looked the terms up in PP2002 help, but
couldn't find an answer.

Thanks --

Dianne,
Go to Tools - AutoCorrect options - tab format as you type - uncheck the
last checkbox at the bottom of the dialogue. While you are at it study the
others and uncheck any you do not want. I have PPT 2003 here so I am not 100
% sure the option is down at the bottom but it should be in the dialogue.

Dear User,
Though I am using PPT 00 , I think u can solve this by unchecking the
Replace text with option in Tools > Auto Correct.
