Locking table data

Sandy H

Hi
I have created a database that has a number of linked tables. This database
will be allow users to create their own queries and reports. Aside from
using the User Level Security features in Access, does anyone know how else
I might be able to prevent users from changing data in the database.

I thought there might be something I could put in the linked table
connection string...

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks in advance
Sandy

When you are creating the link, use a user id for the remote database that has
only SELECT permission, then the Access user will not be permitted to change
the data regardless of their Access permissions.
