Log File NLPGERMAN.LOG

S

ST

Hello,

Whenever I save a Word v.X. document, Word creates a file
NLPGERMAN.LOG in the folder I´ve stored the .doc file in.

Is there a possibility to switch off this function? I really don´t
like to move the log file into the basket again and again.

I´m using MAC OS X 10.2.6 and Word v.X. 10.1.2

Regards

Stephan

Hi Stephan:

I do not know what the file is. I do not think it can be switched off. You
could make an Applescript to search for and delete all of the files when you
log out.

Cheers

As far as I know is this part of the spell-check. (NLP= Natural
Language Processing)

In the grammatik check things go wrong (surprise a Gates programme
that has a mistake in it? J it can not be they are so thorough). In
this case you get a message "File nlcheck.cpp; Line xxx." in the
console. It than creates a file NLPGERMAN.log. This is really a
function that is aimed at programmers to find mistakes etc. So there
you are. Suggest you create a script that looks for them and run it
once in a while.
