Login, passwords, protected sites...

Whats the easiest way to create a site were people pick
their own login and password? Can you do this with FP and
access? or is it better and easier with some addin software???

Sounds like it wont be simple.. Have to enable the site so
visitor can write to the database correct? Know of any
sites with examples and how to's????
