Loop a sequence of animations in Powerpoint on one slide

[DJ Confused !!!!!]

Why can I not loop a sequence of animations on one slide ? All i want to do
is be able to loop a sequence of custom animations until the presenter moves
to the next slide. Is there a way you can do this through the user interface
or do I have to take a programming degree to rewrite the code......... ????

What Bill said.... but also

Powerpoint version 2002 (aka xp) and 2003 have the ability to repeat
animations on the same slide, previous versions do not.
