Lost all Contacts?

I was recently trying to open a document in Microsoft word and it prompted me for some reasonto insert the disk. I tried to open Microsoft word directly and it said the same thing, so I inserted my disk and I guess it reinstalled it ( Office XP) Since then I have not had any problems with any of my old Word documents, but all of my contacts that were in outlook are now gone. Any ideas of how I may be able to recover those? Im assuming that it reinstalled Outlook and overrode my files but Im not sure. Any help?? I also am not sure why my office crashed like that. Im still running windows 98 but have not had any problems with that prior to this

Thanks. Id hate to have to reenter all of these business contacts, And No I was not smart enough to have them backed up or saved
