lost choices in pull-down menu

I am using office 2003 for Mac on iMac w/ OSX3.9. Suddenly I cannot
pull down all choices in menus. For example, in "format" I get 2
choices, cell or sheet. Cannot change column width, row height for
entire sheet. What should I do?

Hi Barbara:

Quit Excel (quit, not minimised) then

1) Select /Users/user_name/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Microsoft Office
Settings (11), and delete.

2) Select /Users/user_name/Library/Preferences/
Microsoft/com.microsoft.office.prefs.plist, and delete.

3) Empty the Trash.

4) Restart the computer.
