Lost fonts & text PowerPoint 03

I saved my Presentation & imbedded fonts and now on another computer (XP SP2
with the fonts I need) I am in a nightmare! "Presentation cannot be opened,
because it has a read only font, .. to edit remove font or open as read only"
it only lists Ariel Black but the font is in the font file. I have tried
both read only & remove restricted font, but nothing happens.
My slides do NOT have text! I've tried "save as", but one font says general
failure, another it claims is not installed. The slides have no text, so I
can't even change fonts to see the words. What do I do? I am lost! I tried
the knowledge base, but no help. It's pushing 2 am. I need this next week.
Help!

Thanks for your fast response. I read this & I do not have arial black
italic, where do I get it? Also where did the text go & why aren't the
animations working? I have SP2 & other updates. I have never had this
problem before.

I tried to select the text to change fonts but there was no text showing to
change so I ran to a friends house today & copied the missing font, installed
it & now I can see the text and it is annimated again. However, the font I
need to use is Informal11 BT, it worked in PowerPoint before but not now,
oddly enough it still works in Word & Publisher. This font does not show in
its "sample" and I can not select it. When I first opened the presentation
the program said general font failure. So what do I do to open this & use
this font?

I loaded the missing font into my font folder, then I could see the text;
next I found the fancy font that disappeared (I have no idea what happened to
it, I used it 2 days before) and reinstalled it, so now things are back to
normal. A scare like this I do not need, not to mention the extra work.
Thanks to everyone for your help!
