Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: pop

I recently lost my hard drive but was able to drag my "main identity" from entourage onto a memory stick. I've reinstalled my Entourage and can't find where to import 2008 files, as it only allows me to choose from 2004 and older. I tried to open the files from my main identity and when it open it just says that the file is "missing" or something along those lines. Is there any way to remedy this? I am absolutely lost without my calendar and notes and emails.

You don't need to import. Place the folder at the same location on the
new Mac and it should be recognized as your identity,

Ah yes, I've already tried that. It did nothing...

Did you replace the Main Identity in the Office 2008 Identities folder?

If you still have problems, can you post a screenshot of the Main Identity
showing the files inside? What size is the database file?

You can post a screenshot link using a service like ImageShack. ImageShack
is an easy-to-use free media hosting service. It can be used to upload
images. Registration is not required in order to upload files.

Yes I did replace the main, unused identity with my previous identity. The database file is about 3.2gb.
I've take a few shots since I couldn't fit the entire chain on my screen.
THanks for helping.

Inside your Identity folder you should have these files:

Database
Mailing Lists
Rules
Signatures

In your screen show on this page

ng> I'm seeing other files mixed in with your correct files. If you create a
new User's Account in System Preferences, open Entourage and create a new
blank Identity you can see what files go into the root Microsoft User Data
folder. Move these files out to the root MUD folder.

This picture shows your Spotlight files that belong in your User's Library
folder.

Hope this helps!

Ok I will try this. Sounds like it might be a bit complex for me...but I'll give it a shot, hopefully i won't screw up anything...
