Lost Micrososft as my e-mail source-defalts to MSN messanger now.

I use microsoft to handle all of my e-mail activities.Suddenly nothing
appears on microsoft but does appear on msn messanger and when I close out
msn and then go to microsoft as I always had,there is nothing there. What
happened and how do I correct it?
