My old roomate stole my office 2000 cd. I registered it, is there anyway for
me to be able to install it again. By the way I have an older pc and Office
2003 is too big.

Hi, dmysteri1. Ordinarily you would follow the instructions at
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=326246 "How to replace lost, broken, or
missing Microsoft software or hardware". Unfortunately you may be out of
luck, because Microsoft no longer offers replacement media for Office 2000.
Your existing installation of Office 2000 is a qualifying product for upgrade
to Office XP if your computer meets the system requirements.

There is nothing on any MS CD that ties it to a specific Product Key. So, if
you still have your valid PK, you can get a friend with the IDENTICAL Office
version to burn you a copy and it will work just fine. The versions MUST match
exactly, ie a Standard CD will not work with a Professional Key, and so on...

However an upgrade could prove problomatical, at a later date, if you do not
have the origonal cd
