My client lost the read password from a "pps" file and I can't open it.
How can I recover The password ?

You can't, even with VBA. I only know the latter because of prior discussions
between the VBA coders.

But then you don't need a "modify" password to open the file as Read Only. Did
the client assign an "Open" password? If so, that's a double whammy.
