Macro Problem

E

Ed Shanley

I set up a macro on a shared drive. On the PC I set-it up on, it works just
great. However, whenever someone else opens the file, the macro doesn't
work. I also have an Excel spreadsheet which won't open for anyone else.

Any ideas?

Ed:

Please read the Help topic " About templates" and all its children.

Which template did you store the macro in? Can the other user access that
template? What is that user's macro security setting?

Hope this helps

Howdy Taz,

Okay, I'm an idiot sometimes. I didn't realize this was the "mac" board.
It was done on Windows. I believe the Office version is 2000.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Ed:

Not a worry, I've done it myself :)

My questions still apply:

Which template did you store the macro in? Can the other user access that
template? What is that user's macro security setting?

I think your problem is that you have saved the macro in a template that is
not accessible to the other user.

Cheers
