Macro to move textbox

S

Sandy

i'm trying to record a macro that will move a texbox that
is in a header. When I start recording the macro and go
into the header I am unable to select the textbox. I just
need to move the textbox from right align to left align.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Sandy,

When you are recording the macro you can click the
Select Object (White Arrow) icon on the Drawing toolbar
when you are in the header and then select the textbox
followed by Format=>Textbox to adjust properties of
the textbox or you can drag it to a new location.

Hi Sandy,

I'm afraid positioning a graphic isn't that simple; it's not
really something you can accomplish using the macro recorder.

If you first select the graphic, then start the macro
recorder, will it position the graphic for you correctly?

And then please copy/paste the macro recorder result into
your reply, here.

We also need to know:

1. Does your document have more than one section?

2. How many graphical objects do you have in the
headers/footers of this document?

3. Can you be certain the graphic will always be there? The
easiest way for us to "grab" it would be to give it a name;
but that will only work if the graphic is going to be there
from the very start, or if you'll be inserting it using a
macro.
