Macros - PowerPoint 2008

It would be great to be able to run a macro when PowerPoint opens a
particular file. It would be great to run a macro when a particular screen is
accessed. I couldn't figure out how to hide and unhide the mouse/cursor
through a macro. I couldn't find any details/manuals on all the macros and
how to use them and their purpose. The help files were fairly helpful; but
definately criptic. The help search LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED. Even 1 word
entries pulled up unrelated topics. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.
