well as the subject says i got a problem with macros in my
document i got a .doc file(stagedossier.doc) when i open
it with word 97 it keeps saying that it has a macro in it
(witch i didnt put in the file) but than when i check the
menu (extra > macros > macro) there are no macros present
and when i go to visual basic it cant finde programmcode
in anny of the files linked to my .doc file(not even in
normal.dot).

logical conclusion is that i got a virus but when i scan
my virus scanner(mcafee, fully updated) cant find
annything...

and im now out of options so if u ppl got anny sugestions
of what to check pls tell me.

{if my spelling or language usage is wrong its couse im
dutch, but mostly ppl understand me (^_^)}

Hi Jan,

If the document even has an empty macro module, you'll get this warning.
Check for any such modules and, if you find any, remove them.

Cheers

Jan do you have an attached template? Tools > Templates and Addins >
Document Template.

If this says anything other that Normal you have a template attached
somewhere.

Jan,

The normal cause of thuis is that there *were* macros in the doc once, but
that they have been removed. Unfortunately, older versions of Word, don't
notice when the macros are removed and continue to think that macros are
there.

Save the document as an RTF file and then again as a document, and all will
then be well.

ow ok, well thanks for the information strange that they
dont just check if there is a macro in the document or
not... i copied the text to an other file works great agan.

tnx agan for the help(and all others to ^_^ )
