Hi =?Utf-8?B?bWZpdHoxMTA2?=,
When I try touse mail merge in m/s outlook it say that i must install the m/s word version that matches outlook. My outlook is 2002 (10.2627.2625) and m/s word is 2000 (9.0.2720). I did not receive an up date for word 2000 as i did for outlook. How do i get a version that will let me run my mail merge?
Probably, you can't. Especially not between these two versions, as mail merge in Word 2002 is substantially different in technology as in Word 2000.
you can TRY this, but no guarantees. If it doesn't work, you'll need to use File/Export in Outlook to put your contact data in a file format Word can link to.
- In OUTLOOK
- View the contacts you want to merge
- Tools/Mail merge (still in Outlook)
- read your options carefully (it's more powerful than mail merge started in Word)
