Mail remains in outbox

Im using Exchange 5.5 and Outlook 2000. On one mailbox
when you send a message it remains in the outbox even
though the recipient confirms they recieved the message.
Any clues anyone??

Is this user working with an OST file? Have you tried creating a new mail
profile for this mailbox and seeing if it happens there as well? What
services do you have listed in tools | services?

I have tried creating a new mail profile for this user and
it does exactly the same thing.

The only items under services is Microsoft Exchnage server
and outlook address book.
