Mails Downloaded Twice?

I have used YPOPS for downloading mails from the Yahoo. However, when I used
the same once again, it seems like the former emails have been downloaded
second time.

What might be the problem? and how to delete and get rid of these extra
duplicate emails?

Did you start with a new mail profile? Did you uninstall and then later
reinstall YPOPS?

See this for methods for handling duplicates:

No! It was only the second time I used it. I turned on the Outlook the second
time and then realized YPOPS was not launched and did so in the mid. However,
I had selected the option to download only the unread mails. Could that be
the reason that unread mails were downloded again?

It's hard to say if that was the cause, but it's possible. Whenever you
have something between the mail client and the server you can have
disruptions in normal behavior.
