make a ppt write and spell protection?

Is there a way to make a PowerPoint file unwritable? I want to give my file
to "other people" to see but I do not want any way they can change or edit
the original file I give them.

Also, is there a way to turn off the spell and grammar check? When I give my
file to people I don't want them to see errors - I have a special tech lingo
that's valid for my subject matter but may flag typos on another system..?

What's best way to approach this?

Thanks

Prevent modification by setting a modify password in Tools>Options>Security
Note that folk with 2000 and earlier won't be able to open at all.

You can't change the spell check settings on other folks computers (except
maybe with some vba but even this would be unlikely to always work and the
owners probably wouldn't thank you!
