Making a PowePoint document uneditable by others

Hi:
Say that I create PowerPoint (.ppt) file.
Is there a way in which I can save the file or change an attribute
so that it cannot be edited by anyone other than myself, and that
it cannot be copied or Saved As... another file that is editable ?

I would like the information protected, so that I am the only one
that cna change it. I do not want it to be able to be copied
via cut & paste or any other editing technique.

Thank you.

A quick way is to save it as PowerPoint show which will start the slideshow
immediately. Of course, this doesn't provide any protection since you can
rename the extension or open the .pps from PowerPoint itself.

There are several ways to protect your information. PowerPoint 2002/XP and
above provides password protection that allows you to prevent the file from
modification or opening.

Nothing is perfect because the use can always do a "ALT+PRINTSCREEN" to
capture a slide image and paste it into a graphics program of choice and
save as JPGs or PNGs, which can subsequently be added to another
presentation.

However, there are some protection ideas provided at:

You can set passwords here.

Only for PPT 2002 and 2003. And PPT 2000 and 97 cannot open these passworded
files, so users with those versions won't even be able to view the
presentation. They can, however, download and install the PPT 2003 Viewer,
which will allow them to view passworded files.

This may be a hassle for some audiences, so it's important to know.
