making animations work in slide show

I'm relatively new to PowerPoint 2003.

In the "Slide Design" window, I've set some special features for text and
clipart.

Still in "Slide Design," I click on "play" and the animations and special
features work.

When I go to slide show, none of those features are activated.

How do I get the actual slide show to exhibit all of the features I set up
in "Slide Design?"

Hi,

Features that play in Slide Design view will run automatically, regardless
of any mouse settings like "On Mouse Click". Have you tried running in
Slideshow mode clicking the mouse to make sure any animations run?

Also, go to the Help menu, and get the latest updates for PowerPoint 2003.
Else, what are your animation settings?
