how do I make a buisness card in publisher with a staples product that is not
listed in the options menu? I love publisher and have used it for all my
event stuff. I have tried to go through page set up in the file menu but
there seems to be a description conflict. the publisher program ask's for
horizontal gap measurments, they are not on the box of the cards. Is their
anything I can do? staples help line just directed me to microsoftword.

Generally they have an Avery equivalent listed somewhere on the package.
Look for tiny print.

If the cards are the standard 3.5 X 2 there are no gaps. Side .75, top .5---
zero gaps.

Try using Avery 8379 or Avery 8871 template numbers. They should be the
same as the Staples business card stock.

options in publisher does not match my staples item # 610381
Avery # 8371 / 2 colums and 5 rows. As far as the templete numbers go
publisher has a templete close to what I need but I can't seem to adjust it
right. Under labels avery it's # 8871. In Pub it is called a Horz. Gap, In
Word It is refferred to as Horz. Pitch, can this make a difference because
when I try to adjust it just moves the cards off the page. Help!!

Are you using 2007?
File, Page setup, on the right--Advanced, Layout type, Multiple pages per sheet.
