Making non-printing objects in PowerPoint 2003

Can you create non-printing objects in PowerPoint 2003?

I want to put instructions for how to fill out a slide right on the
slide, so the person filling it out has "online" instructions. I can't
use the notes, because they contain content for printed distribution.

If it's a black and white printer......then you can set how certain objects will print....by setting them to "don't
show"
