making picture directory using Pub 2002

How can I use the excel database file with first and last names in the
picture directory that I am making In Publisher 2002 for my Bible Study. I
think that I need a Catalog merge so that I can insert the first name and
last name field numerous times on the same page, but Pub 2002 does not offer
Catalog merge. Any suggestion? Thanks.

Publisher 2003 introduced a catalog merge (with repeating areas) feature
including the ability to merge photos.

Thanks for your response Brian, but is there a way to accomplish this using
Pub 2002?

If you are looking to merge photos with Publisher 2002, you cannot.

Ah, yes. This can be done, but it is more of a use for labels. See the
following link:

The best tool that will accomplish what you want by design is Publisher
2003.

If pictures are going to be inserted later, Publisher 2002 IIRC will not do
this automatically, as Publisher 2002 will not merge to a publication, only
to the printer.
