making pictures appear in power point one at a time

Put them where you want them to end up, right-click one and select "Custom
Animation". Set the animation with the style you want and whether or not
you want it to animate on the slide on a mouse click or automatically. You
can even set them up to "Hide after animation" if you want.

Any questions, holler back.

Dear Bill,

I guess I missed a step or two because this did not work for me. I am using
PP 2003. Any further suggestions would be much appreciated.

When you right-click the first picture and select "Custom Animation" a
taskpane opens up. You need to click the "Add Effect" dropdown and select
the "Entrance" animation effect you want. Repeat for the other three
pictures. Keep in mind that the default is to have it start "On Click".
Click the dropdown arrow and change it to either "After Previous" or "With
Previous". When each of the four images appear in the bottom part of the
taskpane, you can click the dropdown arrow next to it and change a lot more
settings.

Dear Bill,

WOW! Thank you so much, it woks perfectly.
I have another question; Is it possible to sync each individual text row to
each picture transition. For example: when I hit the spacebar to execute, I
would like the first row of text to transition on with the first picture?

Yes you can (at least in 2002 or 2003). When you set the Custom Animation
of a multi-line bulleted textbox it applies the animation to the entire box.
In the taskpane to the right there should be a double down arrow. If you
click it all lines will be listed separately. At this point you can click
the animation for one of the pictures and click the "Move up" button to put
it in between text lines.

Is this what you are trying to accomplish?

Hi Bill,

I just read what I posted to you and it's not concise, sorry about that.
The text is already configured to execute on one row at a time as I hit the
spacebar. I now want the photos to execute on one at a time but I want to
sync them to execute on one at a time with each row of text.
For example when the text Los Angeles skyline animates on, I want the photo
of the los angeles skyline to animate on simultaneously when I hit the
spacebar.

That means you will have four textboxes (or four lines of text) set to
animate "On Click". You will also have four images set to animate "With
Previous". Once all 8 items are set, click and move up the images so they
fall within the four lines of animated text (in the Custom Animation
taskpane) in the order you want them.

When you click your mouse the first line of text will animate, then the
first picture will come up at the same time. if you want a slight delay,
set the pictures to "After Previous". Nothing will happen again until you
click your mouse. Then the next set of text and picture will animate.

Got it now?
