Making row height adjustments permanent

Jim

Can anyone tell me how I can make my manual row height adjustments
permanent so that they remain after I close and reopen my schedule?
About 50 of my 300 activities need row heights of 2 to show the wrapped
text. After manually adjusting them all, saving, closing, and
re-opening the file, they have all reverted to a row height of 1.

Thanks very much.

Jim,

It should save the formatting.
But here are some exceptions

In order for text to wrap in a row cell, the text needs to have at least one
space within it

If the text fits on one line, you cannot manually create a line break. In
this situation you can only create a line break by narrowing the column.

A list of names in the Resource Names column will not wrap unless there is a
space in an individual's name.

Please let me know if this helps

Thanks for the reply. I've verified that all the common things, but to
no avail.

Is there perhaps a more general "permanently save modified formatting"
selection somewhere? I ask this because I also lose the formatting of
my Gantt bars upon closing a file. Choosing not to display 'external
milestone', 'deadline', and '*group by summary', I cut those rows from
the Bar Styles dialog box but they insist on returning after I close
and reopen my file.

Thanks again.

Hi,

The only thing I can think of is that in your file or in your global file
there is a macro firi, nhg at open and re-copying the view from the
Global.mpt
Note that I've already made this for a customer who actually asked for.

Let's try two things

- Is it the file? does it behave the same way when used of rinstance at your
home or out of your office environment?

- By all means send me the file maybe I can spot something (email on my
website, url below)
