Making sure tables and other page content does not get carried overto other pages?

I have a 10-page document with tables, headers and bullets that are
carrying over to other points making them confusing without being able
to reference the table headers, previous text, etc.

1. What is the best way to ensure that the items I need to set to
carry over to the next page are set to do so?
2. What is the best way to ensure that my tables do not get cut off
half way through and carry over to additional pages?

Thanks.

Either put a manual page break before each one, or use a paragraph
style that has "Page break before" as part of its definition.

Ditto.

Anyone else got other ways to do it?
