manage editable regions

when I name a new region the new name appears on my page
like this: FU(title)RNITURE and also shows a tag above
it. I can accept the tag, but the word (title)in parens
is annoying. Also there is already a region
named "doctitle" that appears in the list. I don't know
what it is referring to or where that region is. Can any
one tell me about this odd behavior?

This happened because the cursor was between FU and
RNITURE when you created the Editable Region.

You need to select the entire region (i.e. all of
FURNITURE) before choosing Tools Dynamic Web Template,
Manage Editable Regions, Add.

This region encloses the contents of the page title: tht
is, whatever appears between <title> and </title> in the
<head> section. Without it, the Title field under Page,
properties, General would be locked.

Thank you for your help. I figured out the first part of my question on my own, but I really appreciate the answer to the 'doctitle' problem. I wish there was a paper manual with this thing. Thanks again
