Managing large files

I had a presentation that was about 4Mb. I edited this
presentation and added a few slides, now the file size is
36Mb. I've noticed before when editing a file the size
increases greatly.

Is there any way to clean up a Powerpoint file to reduce
the size to where it should be?

TIA, JC

Make sure that you have Fast Saves turned OFF. If it's turned ON, turn it OFF
now and save your presentation to a new name and compare the size to the one
with the old name. It should be smaller.

Also, be sure that your always save as Presentation (*.PPT). If you try to save
to a previous version, ie any format that includes PowerPoint 95, your file will
be greatly bloated.
