manipulating mpd database

Hi,

i spent the last few hours figuring out how to insert a task into the
project database. when i create a xml file it works fine - but as soon as i
want to insert the task automatically from my c# app it doesnt.

i simply couldnt figure out why - i insert the task with all the necessary
fields, i create a new assignment and as far as i saw the other tables are
not affected when creating a task.

the funny thing is the tasks are there and when i import a task from a xml
file all the unshown tasks suddenly appear.

can someone help me or give me hints - i know there is a component available
on the net that does the job - but i dont want to spend 199 usd on that

I found this on the msd

but when i execute the insert statement i have the same problem - the record
exists but the task isnt visible in ms project
