I am working with some project managers who would like to add tasks to their
schedule. They asked whether or not they should manually enter the baseline
dates, which would match the current start and finish or select the tasks and
save them to the baseline effectively adding them to the overall baseline.
I have not been able to find any information on the pros and cons of doing
it either way. I've just never done it manually.
Are there any implications? I've always been quite protective of my baseline
columns and to me, manually entering baseline dates is equivalent to manually
entering start and finish dates - sort of a no-no...
Thoughts/comments/best practices are greatly appreciated.
