Mapisp32.exe has generated errors and will be shut down

One of my coworkers is getting this error whenever
Outlook97 checks for email. She is running Office97 Pro in
WIndows 2000 on a 600mhz PIII with 128MB RAM.

I almost forgot to mention that I tried the fix listed in
Microsoft Article 296412, with no success.
