I have number of locations running up to 200 projects a year. I set up a
master project for each location with resource pool sharing resources with
the projects. All projects are inserted in the same master. So in this case
Master Project = Resource pool. I am using the master project to review the
progress and produce reports. Also in just a few instances I would need to
use master to correct the inserted projects. Eventually I am planning to set
up a Global Master to have Location Masters inserted in Global (It is in
trail with no global resources yet). But having this set up on the server and
accessed from one PC, I can't access master the same way from another PC.
Every time when I am trying to open inserted project (master is open, just to
+ on inserted) I am asked to open resource file that is in turn the master
project already opened. It is happening regardless of the way I open master
(read only, Read/write). I am thinking to set up separate Resource file???
Will it help, or I am trying to do something wrong?
