I am trying to compare project 2000 (which I use) and project 2003 (planning
on going to) and there are a couple things that I can't get to work the way I
expect.

In a master project, I can't get an entire project to delete. In the forum
it says to make sure your have SP1, is that for project or XP?

Also, I can't get the insert project to work as before. If I remove the
link to project so I don't get duplicate resources it only makes a one line
item with the project name in. I lose all the detail information behind the
project. If I leave link to project checked, I get the duplicate resources
which I don't want. I want to insert multiple projects into a master
project, with every resource on resource sheet only once, but I want to see
the entire sub project with all their tasks.

The tasks should still be there, but collapsed. Is there a small plus sign
to the left of the task name? if so click on it and it should expand.

No there isn't a small plus sign. I know this is how it used to work in
Project 2000 but it isn't the same with 2003. It looks just like a one line
task
