Material is in hours not Dollars

I have created a resource and its type is Material and the material label is
Dollars. However, when I run a Resource Usage (material) report in Project
2000 some, and I emphasize some not all, of the tasks using that resource say
1500hrs instead of 1500.

How can I fix this.

KK,
OK well that's a strange one. Here are a few things to try/consider.
First, do you have the SR-1 update installed? If not, install it.
Second, try running Detect and Repair from the Help menu.

Does this happen with just one isolated file or multiple files? If it's
just one file you might have corruption. Go to our MVP website at:
http://www.mvps.org/project/faqs.htm
and take a look at FAQ 43 - File Bloat? Might be corruption.

Is the file tied to a common resource pool? If so, there could be a
conflict with a resource name that is of material type in one place and
the same resource name that is of work type in another place.

Create a new resource of work type and substitute it for one of the
assignments that demonstrates the problem. It should show "hours" in the
Usage view. Then create a new resource of material type and substitute
that for the same assignment. What happens?

Hopefully one of these suggestions will help. If not, I may need to look
at the file itself.

Tried all those things and still no luck. What I have noticed is this. My
report is two pages long when printed. The problem resource has tasks that
run from page 1 and continue onto page 2. Tasks on page 1 are fine. They do
not show hours. Those on page 2 show hours as the unit.

If I re-scale the whole report to fit onto one page then hey presto the
problem disappears. This suggests some problem with the print element.

And in case you are wondering I get the same output from an actual print as
from the print preview.

KK,
WOW, you've got a really good one there. I guess one suggestion I didn't
make is to try it with a different printer. If that works, then you have
your answer - bad printer driver.

Hi John and KK,

I don't have project 2000 handy to check, but I vaguely recall a
similiar problem with a multiple page print suddenly changing
measurements (showing hours for material resources.)

Unfortunately, I don't believe there was ever a fix. I would check to
make sure you are running SR-1 on Project 2000, but other than that, I
don't have any suggestions for repair.
