Hi there

I am a current user of Word 2000 (on my Home PC) & I would
like to know how can I export my current AutoText Setting
sfor my Word 2000 to another Computer (Work PC at a
different location) with Word 2000 on it .

Please kindly advise.

Thank you for your help in advance.

AutoText is stored in templates, normal.dot by default. Are you sure you
mean AutoText and not AutoCorrect?

Take a look at <URL:
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/customization/exportautocorrectcontent.htm> and
<URL: http://word.mvps.org/faqs/general/filestobackupcontent.htm>.

See the MVP FAQ: <URL: http://www.mvps.org/word/> which is awesome!

If it is autotext that you want, then as Charles indicates that autotexts
are stored in templates, by default normal.dot. A simple way to transfer
these is to save a blank document as a template - call it (say)
autotext.dot - use the Organizer (tools > macros > organizer) to copy the
autotexts from normal.dot to the new template. Take the new template to work
and copy it into the Word startup folder (as indicated in tools > options >
file locations) or alternatively open it in Word and copy the autotexts to
the other machine's normal.dot.
