I can't update the Database properites in an ACCESS 2003 MDB with MDW
security. I get the message that "User: 'me' is unable to save the Database
Properties'. References say to open the MDB as Admin; that only the Admin
account can update database properties. I don't know the Admin pwd. When I
clear the Admin password in the MDW, I can't access the MDB at all ("You do
not have the necessary permissions to use the ... object."). I re-reference
a backup MDW to re-acquire access.
Some references say the MDW may be corrupt. The original MDW was either
ACCESS 95 or 97. I converted it to 2003 without error. Both MDWs create the
same result.
I can't import the MDB contents into another blank MDB, one without MDW
secuirty. The error mesage "You do not have the necessary permissions ..."
shows up.
Other than all that the MDB works fine in a multi-user application.
