Media files don't play the second time.

I have created a slide show in which most slides contain both WAV and
multiple WMV files. The WAV is the first item in order on the custom
animation list for each slide. All media files are set to “START WITH
PREVIOUSâ€. The first slide is an Index slide of the topics discussed on the
other slides. Each line on the Index slide is a hyperlink to the appropriate
slide. Each slide also contains an action button with a hyperlink to the
index. The slide show contains automatic slide transition from slide to
slide.

If you start the show it runs perfectly. If you use the Index action button
to go to the Index and choose a topic that you have not seen it runs
perfectly. If you choose a topic from the index that you have already seen,
the WAV file does not play but the WMV files do. Any ideas?

PowerPoint returns to a previously played slide at its end point, after all
animation has completed. Put a blank slide with transition timing of 0 seconds
just before the slide you want to jump to. Then jump to the blank slide and
that will force entry in the target slide at the beginning.
