Menu Icons - LCD Monitor

Hello,

My apologies if you've been asked this question before. Anyway, I was just
given an LCD monitor to work with (after years using a CRT). To my surprise
(and I'm sure you all know this), the LCD monitor only works best at its
native resolution. Therefore, I find Word very blurred when working below
its native resolution or too small overall (for these bad eyes). I realize
you can change its appearance and I have done so. In addition, I have
increased the DPI under settings and things are a bit better. However, my
menu icons (e.g., print, cut, past, spell check, etc.) on my toolbars remain
small. Is there a way to make the menu icons larger?

Thank you for your time,

Paul

If this is Word 2003 or earlier, you can choose "Large Icons" on the
Options tab of Tools | Customize. If it's Word 2007, the icons are not
customizable.

Hi Suzanne,

Thank you very much. Yes, I have Word 2003. Just one other question, are
there any other options to customize the size of the icons? Or is it just
two options (normal and large)?

Again, thank you for your help,

Paul

I don't know of any other. There are settings in Windows Control Panel |
Display | Appearance, but I think Word may ignore those settings (and in any
case, I don't think they offer any more variations than Small and Large,
anyway).

Suzanne,

OK, thanks again.
