Merge Images into PowerPoint?

I have encountered this scenario a couple of times now
and I wish I could find a solution.

If I have 80+ images that I need to insert into
PowerPoint, one image per slide:
.. is there a fast way to insert multiple images
.. or merge with 'fields' that would tell PP to insert an
image then move to the next slide?

With advanced features that Microsoft offers in the it's
programs, I would think there would be a way to do this!

Any help is appreciated!
