How does that merge PUBLISHER files? Your solution merges pdf files.

Convert to PDF, merge the PDFs, and convert back to a Publisher file using
the ScanSoft PDF convertor.

Nope, doesn't merge Pub files. All I'm saying is, why reinvent the wheel
trying to merge publisher files if you have Acrobat. If the documents are
ready to go, why chance missing something or picking up incorrect styles,
etc. It's not clear why the document is segmented in the first place. Is it
coming from different sources? Is it a one-time project, or will it be
coming monthly, weekly, etc. I get a monthly newsletter from 4 different
sources (UGH!), all in Publisher plus one Excel file. I just PDF and pull it
together in Acrobat in 3 seconds. If you don't have Acrobat, or if the
document needs moderate to major work, copy and paste away.

The only merge ability that Publisher offers for combining publications is
in Publisher 2003. You can create a mail merge publication, and then merge
that publication to the END of an existing Publication. No other options as
far as automation.

Copy/Paste
Drag/Drop
