Hi,
Anyone tried merging resources in Project Server 2003 ?
I have a running project on the project server with resources defined and
assigned. Then I created a new project in MSProject Professional 2003. I
hadn't planned to publish this to the server, and hence I created new
resources within my new roject, instead of importing resources from the
server. Then, off course, it wad decided to publish the project to the
server after all. The publishing went OK, and resulted in my new resources
beeing created on the server to. Under Admin on the server, there is a
function to merge two resources. I used this to merge the resources that had
been duplicated. All is fine. The taskassignments in the new project was
updated with the exsisting resources as expected. BUT when I edit the
project in MSProject Professional 2003, I still get the old resources
assigned to the tasks. Why ? Even if I open the project from the server, I
get the "old" resource names.
Any ideas ?
