You should purchase Home and Student version of Office 2007 which allows
concurrent installation on up to three computers. The only restriction is
that it is for non-commercial use only (in other words, for students and
home use.)

Amazon.com usually has the best price.

The trial that you have on the computer should be totally uninstalled
through Control Panel, Programs and Features, and the computer rebooted
prior to installing the retail version.

A free semi-clone of earlier versions of Word, Excel, etc. that will open
and write to most office files is Open Office available from
www.openoffice.org.

Uninstall the trial.
As Milly states Vista uses Windows Mail, if you can no longer use Mail, then
post to the Windows Mail group for advise

If you go to OpenOffice like barbaraloqw mentioned, youi can download Windows
Live Mail for free, or always use Yahoo or MSN mail and they all work fine
for sending pictures or anything else.

NewEgg has Home and Student now for about 80 bucks.
